Arbitration:

Brown Dryer offers accredited arbitration services in real estate, commercial leasing and employment law.

Our civil litigation team provides expert litigation services in a broad range of areas of civil litigation law, appearing before all levels of the courts in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario, as well as before various administrative Boards and Tribunals. Our civil litigation lawyers are also experienced with Alternative Dispute Resolution procedures, including mediation and arbitration. We represent corporate and individual clients on various real estate and corporate/commercial related civil litigation matters, and act as counsel to lawyers and other professionals in related fields. Our team provides personalized and detailed attention to our clients’ needs and interests.

Our office is involved in the processing of various simple and complex land development applications throughout the Province of Ontario. More specifically, we have a full service boutique planning section, involving both experienced land use planners and lawyers. Our experience involves the coordination of applications for minor variances, rezonings, official plan amendments, draft plan approval and site plan approval for single family homes, townhomes, hi-rise condominium and multi-use developments. Our office has represented a variety of different development companies whose expertise spans across commercial, residential and retail markets. In the event a reasonable solution cannot be achieved through a consultative municipal process, the planning and land development group has had significant involvement and success in negotiating settlements of such matters through a mediation process. In the event a resolution cannot be achieved through mediation, our office has also been successful in achieving a high percentage of approvals when an Ontario Municipal Board Hearing is required.
