Our office is involved in the processing of various simple and complex land development applications throughout the Province of Ontario. More specifically, we have a full service boutique planning section, involving both experienced land use planners and lawyers. Our experience involves the coordination of applications for minor variances, rezonings, official plan amendments, draft plan approval and site plan approval for single family homes, townhomes, hi-rise condominium, and multi-use developments. Our office has represented a variety of different development companies whose expertise spans across commercial, residential and retail markets. In the event a reasonable solution cannot be achieved through a consultative municipal process, the planning and land development group has had significant involvement and success in negotiating settlements of such matters through a mediation process. In the event a resolution cannot be achieved through mediation, our office has also been successful in achieving a high percentage of approvals when an Ontario Municipal Board Hearing is required.
